TL5Y marks one of the most expansive design collections that I’ve done for a production. The starting point was to create a unique show logo that coincided with this production of the show. In addition to the usual poster, playbill, and social media ads, I also created a full book jacket design to use on the prop books as well as a character photoshoot to incorporate into the set design. More details about the prop designs are below.

Prop Design – Book Jacket

Since the character of Jamie is an author, he needed a book. Two scenes in the show featured Jamie and his book; first at a book signing, and second at a book reading. I designed and printed a full book jacket for his “best-seller” and fitted it onto existing old books as props for him. I also took the cover image some years ago at the beach.

Prop Design – Gallery Portraits

As part of the set design, the director wanted to incorporate a gallery of images from Cathy and Jamie's life together. During production, I did a staged photoshoot with both actors to create their “memories”. These are a few of the images used in the set design to create Cathy and Jamie’s apartment.
