What started out as advice on business cards quickly turned into corporate/branch branding… In mid-2021, the Hardin Team joined the CrossCountry Mortgage family. With this transition, they needed a new assortment of logos. And, coincidentally, a large variety of marketing materials for a fast-approaching event.

To begin, I created The Hardin Team logo in alignment with the corporate guidance for branch offices. From there, I began creating “structural” pieces (including tents, banners, and tablecloths) that could be reused for events. As some events include a BMX show, I made additional custom pieces, including shirts for the riders as well as a souvenir autograph card. Depending on the event, I created corresponding print materials and/or digital images for social media. And, of course, I made business cards for team members to be used whenever needed.

I’m sure you’re wondering, “What’s with the BMX?” Well, it’s pretty simple…one of the mortgage advisors is also a professional BMX rider! Mortgage and BMX aren’t typically two field you think go together, but when you have experience (and connections) in both, why not find a way to bridge them together? It’s a great way to give back to the community as well as promote business, and show just how smoothly riding into a mortgage can be.


Belgian Waffle Ride Expo

To help promote their first big event at the Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR) Expo, I did a light re-design of marketing materials as well as created a promotional discount card. Marketing materials included images for Instagram (post and story), banner image for the EventBrite page, and an event flyer to be distributed around town. Discount cards were included in swag bags for all of the riders participating in the race. Overall, I wanted to create pieces that utilized the company colors while also conveying the high-energy vibe that comes with a live BMX show.


JCC Endless Summer

Similar to the BWR, I did a light re-design of the event image for use on social media. I kept the same base design as BWR, but switched up the layout and color prominence.

 
 

General Promo Materials

As a result of the BWR event, The Hardin Team has a wide assortment of reusable marketing materials, including: banners to be hung on the BMX ramps, pop-up tents with logo walls, iPad stand covers, table cloths, and angled flags that can be placed on the ramps or around the event space.

For events with BMX shows, each of the riders receives a custom Hardin Team shirt. As a souvenir from the show, I created a custom autograph card that includes a large area for the riders to sign as well as contact details for members of The Hardin Team.
